Bristol encourages participation in state’s Covid-19 Alert System

The City of Bristol has partnered with the State of Connecticut to participate in the COVID-19 Alerts and Updates System. This system will be used to send COVID-19 updates to you as members of our community via phone, email and text.

All you need do is opt-in to receive these messages.

“Staying informed is one of the most important ways to keep you and your family safe. By signing up you will receive the following COVID-19 updates from your community and the State of Connecticut, including significant updates about public health safety and outbreaks; COVID-19 vaccination updates and opportunities, and, community testing opportunities,” said Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. “Having access to accurate information will help individuals and their families make sound decisions.”

“The COVID-19 Alerts and Update System is an OPT IN system, meaning that residents have to sign up for the program to receive the alerts,” said Councilwoman Brittany Barney. “With COVID vaccine distribution ramping up for all citizens, it’s important to be kept informed of the latest options
available to you.”
