Federal Hill rally draws over 300; diversity council to lead community-wide discussion

Over 300 people rallied on the historic Federal Hill Green, Tuesday, June 2, in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and to march against police violence in the wake of the death of George Floyd.

During the speakers portion of the program, Councilman Scott Rosado, liaison to the city’s Diversity Council, issued an open invitation to a community-wide discussion at Rockwell Park, Wednesday, June 10, 6:30 p.m.

Entitled, “A Community Conversation on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” the program is being hosted by the Mayor’s Office, Bristol Parks, Recreation Youth and Community Services, Rosado and Councilwomen Brittany Barney and Mary Fortier.
