Covid-19 update 20 June; collection station closes

On Friday, the state of Connecticut coronavirus website reported 590 confirmed cases up from 583 the previous week and 72 total confirmed deaths in Bristol, the same number as the previous week.

At the same time, the number of confirmed cases in Connecticut totaled 45,755 confirmed cases up from 44,994 the previous week and 4,260 deaths up from 4,186 the previous week.

Also, the state has reported 393,475 COVID-19 PCR tests up from 342,338 the previous week, around 15 percent increase over last week and 11 percent of the total population of 3.7 million.

In addition in Bristol, June 20 marked the last day for specimen collection at the Bristol Hospital station, Bristol Health announced in a press release.
