In a press release this week, the City of Bristol Tax Collector, Ann Bednaz, announced that ALL REAL ESTATE, PERSONAL PROPERTY & MOTOR VEHICLE TAX BILLS on the 2019 Grand List are due if they have not yet been paid. The last day to pay these taxes to avoid interest is October 1, 2020, per an Executive Order by Governor Lamont and approved by the City of Bristol City Council.
Governor Lamont’s Executive Order extended the time period to pay most taxes by three months. Instead of August 3rd being the last day to pay this year, October 1, 2020 is the last day to pay without penalty.
IMPORTANT: Payments must be received or USPS postmarked by October 1st, 2020 or they will be considered delinquent. Taxpayers are encouraged to mail their tax payments to: Tax Collector, City of Bristol, P.O. Box 1040, Bristol, CT 06011-1040. The ENTIRE 3-part bill and a self-addressed stamped envelope MUST accompany the payment if a receipt is desired. You can also pay online at www.bristolct.gov.
