A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle near the intersection of Route 72 and Lincoln Avenue Wednesday night at approximately 8:00 PM.

Police responded to the scene, and the person, identified as Benjamin Guage Guinen (age 19), of Bristol, was transported to an area hospital. Guinen later died from the injuries he sustained in the accident.

The Bristol Police Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (START) responded to the scene and took over the investigation of the crash. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Officer Lance Podlesney at 860-584-3033.
