Griffin Health and the State Dept. of Public Health is providing Pfizer vaccinations and will be located at the Mrs. Rockwell’s building, next to the playground each day from Friday, May 14 through Thursday, May 20th, 12pm to 6pm each day, with one exception.
On Saturday, May 15th, the Clinic will run from 2pm-6pm. The clinics will be staffed by Griffin Health personnel.
The clinic is open to Bristol residents 12 years or older – appointments are not needed- but a parent or guardian must accompany and give consent for anyone under the age of 18. Those who receive a vaccine will be given assistance to schedule their second vaccine appointment when the vans return in June.
At this time, only the Pfizer vaccine has been authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use in children ages 12 and older. The Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are authorized for use in adults 18 and older.
In addition, a Mobile Vaccine Clinic will take place at the Bristol Soccer Club at 441 Emmett Street on Saturday, May 15, from 8am to 1pm to administer first doses of the Pfizer vaccine to Bristol residents who are 12 years or older. The vans will then return in June to administer the second doses.
People should check the City website, Mayor’s Office Facebook page, or call the Mayor’s Office at 860-584-6250 for location and times.
