Farmers to Families Food scheduled for June 3rd

The Mayor’s Office, United Way, and FoodShare together are offering another round of Farmers to Families Produce Distribution program this Thursday, June 3.

Distribution will take place from 4pm-6:30pm *or until the boxes run out at the Bristol Department of Public Works Garage at 95 Vincent P. Kelly Road.

The next scheduled event is Thursday, June 17 from 4pm-6pm.

The free program sponsored by the American Rescue Plan Act Produce Box Program is being handled through Foodshare. The boxes include approximately 25 pounds of produce.

The pallets of food boxes will be unloaded from the trucks and divided with volunteers at each station. The line of cars will be directed into drive-thru lines where the food will be placed into the back seat or trunk of each vehicle. The entire distribution is contact-less and adheres to all Covid precautions.      

Traffic should follow signage from Middle Street to Cross Street to Vincent P. Kelly Rd, following the traffic pattern developed by the Traffic division.
