The Greater Bristol NAACP branch is a local drop-off location for people who wish to donate to the Wheeler Foster Care school supplies drive.

Supplies include folders; notebooks—1, 3, 5 subject; book covers; pens and pencils; crayons; markers, glue and glue sticks; scissors, book bags, erasers, and pencil boxes; index cards; highlighters, rulers, binders, and pencil sharpeners. Cash donations also will be accepted.

A recommendation is to purchase a book bag, fill the bag with as many materials on the list as possible (min. $25 suggested). Donations are tax deductible.

Items will be accepted through Aug. 12, and may be dropped at the local NAACP office on 55 South St., Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations are also being accepted at Wheeler offices, 88 East St., Plainville on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
