For the 2021 scholastic campaign, the CIAC offered to move the spring golf campaign to the fall and over 50 programs in Connecticut chose to make the switch this year. 

Select squads from the Central Connecticut Conference, the FCIAC, South-West Conference and Berkshire League will begin play in the fall right before Labor Day.  

The CIAC broke down boys golf into two divisions this fall with the cutoff school size of 570 boys. 

Conard of West Hartford, Farmington, Glastonbury, Hall, New Britain, Newington, Simsbury, and Southington are squads from the CCC that will compete in Division I while Avon, Berlin, Bloomfield, Lewis Mills, Northwest Catholic, Rocky Hill, and Wethersfield make up part of the Division II line-up. 

The programs from Bristol will continue to compete during the spring scholastic season though the schedule is going to be bit different in the CCC for Central and Eastern with some of its rivals out of the mix, competing in the fall. 

However, the slate for each fall program will continue to have a usual conference feel to it. 

Lewis Mills, for instance, has 14 regular season matches this season along with an invitational tournament in Avon. 

Thirteen of those showdowns for Mills will be against CCC competition while the other takes place on October 4 against former Berkshire League rival Litchfield. 

In Connecticut, scholastic golf has traditionally been a sport positioned after the winter scholastic season but at the collegiate level, golf is usually a fall endeavor. 

The two CIAC championships will commence on Monday, October 18 from both Chippanee and Silo Point Country Clubs.
