The City of Bristol is making cooling stations available during this week’s heat wave.
The temperature is on the rise today and tomorrow with anticipated high heat and humidity. Here are the cooling stations for those needing help to get a break from the heat.
The Bristol Public Library is open Monday –Thursday 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday, 8:30- 5:00 p.m.
Bristol Senior Center 240 Stafford Avenue, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Community Health Center -395 North Main St., Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Bristol Parks and Recreation reports all splash pads will be open from 1 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
The Agape House 43 School Street Monday – Saturday, from 8 a.m – 12 noon.
Local businesses often welcome individuals to come in from the heat, but please be conscientious and courteous. Kindly follow individual location mask requirements and guidance.
As a reminder, kindly check in on family and/or elderly neighbors. Keep hydrated and remember, animals should not be left outside in the heat or in vehicles.
