The City of Bristol’s Public Works Department has released its schedule for the 2021 fall paving program which will be completed in two phases.
“The initial phase consists of milling off the existing pavement of the road,” said Public Works Director Raymond Rogozinski. “The second phase consists of installing a new roadway surface and will commence shortly after the first phase. Once construction is complete, the City will repair any affected driveway aprons.”
The 2021 fall roadway paving program begins on August 31 or September 1 and will be completed by the fall. The following streets will be milled and then paved:
Carpenter Avenue, Louisiana Avenue, Morris Avenue, West Washington Street, Washington Street, Church Avenue (to pavement change), Hooker Court, Judd Street, Stewart Street, Eastwood Road,
Whippoorwill Lane, Belgian Circle, Daisy Circle, Lantern Hill Road, Muir Avenue, Sherbrooke Street,
Rose Street, Christine Road, Hannah Street, Hidden Brook Drive, Winding Brook Road, Braeburn Road,
Swanson Drive, Terrace Lane, Hartford Avenue, Maywood Lane, Nelson Farm Road, Woodside Way,
Wilderness Way
“There may be minor traffic delays during construction, however roads will remain open for mail delivery, emergency vehicles, and local traffic at all times,” said Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. “Temporary ‘No Parking’ signs will be posted as needed during construction.”
