Dianna S. McAllister, 86, of Bristol, widow of Vincent J. McAllister, died on Monday, Sept. 6, at home surrounded by family.
Dianna was born on March 13, 1935, in Newport, Vt, and was a daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Paquette) Gosselin. She was raised in Vermont before moving to Unionville and then settling in Bristol to raise her ten children.
She was a loving wife and mother whose family was very important to her. When she wasn’t spending time with her family she enjoyed cooking, crafts, ceramics, shopping, bingo, and her cats.
She was a parishioner of St. Matthew Church, Bristol.
Dianna is survived by her seven children: Denise Heffernan and husband, Joel, of New Hampshire, Frances Spring and husband, Bob, of Bristol, Laurie Chirico and husband, Darrin of Windsor, Stephen McAllister and wife, Sally, of Willington, Mark McAllister and wife, Carina, of Bristol, Daniel McAllister and wife, Chantal, of Burlington, and Tammie McAllister of Bristol; two sisters: Rose Marie Macie and Annette Willis, both of Vermont; sixteen grandchildren; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters: Jeannie McAllister and Patricia Nickstad, and son: Michael McAllister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately by the family at St. Matthew Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Visitation is private.
