Sunday evening at 8:41 p.m., Bristol police responded to calls of gunshots in the area of Summer Street and Main Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, police officers identified a crime scene involving an unoccupied motor vehicle, later determined to have been occupied by 4 juveniles.
Two male juveniles, ages 16 and 17, who were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, sustained non-life threatening gunshot injuries. Both were treated and released at area hospitals.
The two other juveniles fled the scene and are in the process of being identified.
Bristol patrol officers and detectives canvassed the area and processed the scene. At this time, there is an active investigation into the full details of this incident.
“While there are no known threats to the community at this time, we are interested in talking to anyone who may have seen anything,” said Police Chief Brian Gould. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Mendela at 860-314-4571
