Pauline Boilard

Pauline (Dupont) Boilard, 90, of Bristol, widow of Francis R. Boilard, died on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at Bristol Hospital.

Pauline was born in Waterbury on Jan. 11, 1931, and was the only daughter of the late Lucien and Leona (Guilmette) Dupont. She was raised in Waterbury where graduated from high school.  She moved to Bristol in 1952 after her marriage to Francis and was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish attending St. Ann Church.

She loved her lottery tickets always trying to hit the jackpot. She would tell everyone she was spending her kids’ inheritance. She did win her big jackpot on the day she met the love of her life, Francis, at a square dance. She hit many more jackpots over the years every time she added a new child, grandchild, great-grandchild, or great-great-grandchild.

Pauline is survived by five children: David Boilard and wife, Sue of Terryville, Therese Poirier and husband, Rene of Bristol, Denis Boilard and wife, Susan of Florida, Elaine Wheeler and husband, Jim of Illinois, and Edmund Boilard and wife, Jacqueline of Virginia; sisters-in-law, Julie and Jacqueline Dupont; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Albert and Roger Dupont.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Oct. 9, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. There are no calling hours.
