St. Paul girls dominate WCA, coast to a 68-24 win Thursday

The contest was never in doubt as St. Paul jumped out to a 16-7 1st quarter lead, and then the Falcons put the hammer down, outscoring WCA 19-1 in the 2nd period, for a runaway win, 68-24, at the St. Paul gym Thursday night .

The Falcons’ defense was top- notch all night, as they held their opponents to six baskets from the field for the evening.

Once again, the entire roster was able to contribute as 12 players scored in the game. Nadia Reimer led the Falcon attack with 20 points, followed by Audrey Tice with 13. Zoey Rubins dished out 9 assists, and Emily Ronalter and Izzy Leggett pulled down 8 and 7 rebounds apiece.

St. Paul now plays in the NVL tournament, playing Watertown on Saturday at 11:00 AM contest at Holy Cross High School in Waterbury.

The Falcons will be the #5 seed in the MM division of the State Tournament carrying a record of 14-5.
