Rep. Pavlock-D’Amato outlines legislative priorities for this legislative session

State Rep. Cara Pavalock-D’Amato (R-77) announced her legislative priorities for the 2022 legislative session beginning Wednesday, March 4, in a press release Monday.

The second year of the state’s two-year legislative cycle focuses on adjustments to the budget adopted in the first year of the cycle. All new business must be related to the previous budget.

Pavalock-D’Amato said her focus will be on delivery costs utility companies charge customers. She has also introduced a bill to steer the costs of any election-related mandates on towns and cities back to the state, exempt COVID rapid tests from sales taxes and establish a $200 tax credit for students enrolled in private school.
