Carole J. (Doolittle) Plantamuro, 83, of Bristol, widow of William Plantamuro, Sr., passed away on Thursday, March 3. Carole was born in Bristol on Nov. 30, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Edwin Doolittle and Anna (Hines) Doolittle. 

She graduated from Bristol High School, worked for New Departure, raised her family, and worked with her son, Rich, at Greer’s Chicken before retiring. She enjoyed camping, going to the casino, and traveling with friends and family. 

Carole is survived by five children: William Plantamuro, Jr., John Plantamuro, Robert Plantamuro and wife, Terry, Tracy Plante, and Richard Plantamuro, all of Bristol; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Todd Plantamuro, son-in-law Real Plante; and siblings, Jean Wibly, Doris Rafaniello, Anne Harvey, William Doolittle, and Sonny Doolittle.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Wednesday, March 9, between 11 a.m. and 12 noon followed by a Service to Remember. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bristol.
