The Bristol Police Department announced today that they were made aware of a threat on social media against Bristol Central High School. The threat was specific to occur Thursday or Friday, 4/7/22 or 4/8/22. The threat was directed at both staff and students.

The Bristol Police department immediately started an investigation and was able to identify the suspect who was placed under arrest and transported to the police station.

As the suspect is a juvenile, his or her name will not be released.

There will be an increased police presence at all Bristol schools until further notice.
