City to offer Covid vaccine clinic on Thursday

The City of Bristol will be partnering with the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health and Griffin Health to bring a pop-up vaccine clinic to Bristol on Thursday, April 28 from 12 to 4 pm.

A Griffin Health van will be deployed to Bristol and will be located at City Hall East, 150 Main Street. Vaccines will be administered by Griffin Health personnel in the conference room located at the back entrance off of Riverside Avenue. CERT members will be on hand to direct the public. This clinic is open to Bristol residents who are 12 years or older and City employees for either a first vaccine, a booster, or a second booster if eligible – see guidelines for second booster below. No appointments are needed. Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson vaccines will be available.

Anyone who wishes to be vaccinated is encouraged to complete the vaccination forms for each patient beforehand if possible – forms will also be available the day of the clinic to be filled out in person that day. Patients are also asked to have their ID and Insurance with them. Forms can be downloaded and printed at: https://bristolallheart.com/vaccineclinic/

Griffith Health will provide all doses of all vaccine types.

The second booster guidelines are below:

  • People ages 12 years and older who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may choose to receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months after the first booster dose
  • Adults ages 50 years and older who are not moderately or severely immunocompromised may choose to receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months after the first booster dose
  • People ages 18–49 years who are not moderately or severely immunocompromised and who received Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine as both their primary series dose and booster dose may receive a second booster dose using an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine at least 4 months after the first Janssen booster dose
