Rocchina “Ricky” Mary (Tinella) Brzeski, 98, formerly of Bristol, passed peacefully on Tuesday, June 7. She was the daughter of the late Peter and Philomena (Masi) Tinella, and widow to the late Henry Brzeski. 

“Ricky” was retired for many years from BJ Tool Company in Terryville. Unwavering in commitment to her family, she had cared for many of those who have gone before her. She had a reluctant love for animals, especially her shrimp-eating, sidekick JJ (cat). She was a superb cook and developed an unrelenting sweet tooth. She was a lifelong member of St. Anthony Church in Bristol, as well as a long-standing member of the OSIA Club, sisters to the Knights of Columbus.

Rocchina leaves behind two daughters, Cheryl Cyr (Larry–deceased) and Sandra Smith (Dave); also, five grandchildren, Jill Marie Wood, Scott Wilson, Raymond Bull (deceased), and Kimberly and Kristine Bourdeau; along with many great-grandchildren. nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., in Bristol, on Monday, June 13, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Following calling hours, there will be a mass at 11 a.m., at St. Anthony Church (St. Frances de Sales Parish), Bristol. The service will conclude with burial, at St. Mary Cemetery, E. Plymouth Road in Terryville (Plymouth).
