Ronald Roy Devoe, 83, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., formerly of Bristol, widower of Anna (Terranova) Devoe, died on Friday, Aug. 26, in Florida. Ron was born in Eagle Lake, Maine, on March 15, 1939, and was a son of the late Clarence and Cecile (Dumais) Devoe. He was raised and lived in Eagle Lake before moving to Bristol where he would go to work for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in Southington. He moved to Florida in 1987 working for Pratt and Whitney for 13 years before retiring. He was formerly a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great Church in Bristol.
Ron is survived by four sons: Ronald Devoe and wife, Liette of Lebanon, Maine, Wayne Devoe of Bristol, Brent Devoe and wife, Wendy of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Jeffrey Devoe of California; a sister: Nancy Bell of Bristol; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren: and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Lloyd Devoe.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 2, at 9:30 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m.
