Edward “Peton” Dumond, 73, of Bristol, died on Sunday, Sept. 4 at Countryside Manor. Edward was born on May 30, 1949, in Fort Kent, Maine, and was the son of the late Rene and Elise (Blanchard) Dumond. He was raised and lived in Maine before moving to Connecticut where he worked odd jobs. He enjoyed serving as a bell ringer with the Salvation Army at the holidays.
Edward is survived by two sisters: Dora Berube of St. John/Frenchville, Maine, and Robertine Long of Presque Isle/Bangor, Maine; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers: Henry, Camille, Norman, Gilbert, Clarence, Robert, and Leonide Dumond, and sisters: Clara Gervais, Nora West, Lena Belanger, and Gertrude Szrejna.
Services are private and burial in Fort Kent, Maine, will be at the convenience of the family. The family thanks his family at Holly View Manor for his care over the past 25 years.
