Fall was in the air over the weekend as the temperatures reached overnight lows in the low 50s.
The Hubbell School PTA hosted a Movie Night fundraiser on Friday night. Families brought chairs and blankets to Muzzy Field to watch “Sing” on a giant screen. Pizza, popcorn, chips, soda and sweet treats were enjoyed by dozens of students, family members, friends and Bristol residents.
The Farmer’s Market brought visitors to Main Street for fresh produce and home-made treats on Saturday. After weeks of large crowds shopping for summer squash and seasonal berries, the selections of farm-fresh foods are transitioning to autumn assortments of corn, plums and ginger gold apples.
German Fest brought hundreds of local festival-goers to the Immanuel Lutheran Church. The enticing smells of hot dogs, spätzle, potato pancakes, sauerkraut and German brews filled the air, while live musical acts played under the tented biergarten. Dozens of children visited the Kinderland section for balloon animals and face painting, and children of all ages played games of cornhole.
All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
