Irene (Belanger) Bilodeau, 84, of Bristol, died on Thursday, Oct. 6, at Bristol Hospital. Irene was born on May 20, 1938, in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Lionel and Aldea (Diamond) Belanger. She was a lifelong Bristol resident graduating from St. Anthony High School.
In her younger years she worked for Barnes Group. She raised her family then worked managing the family rental properties and bookkeeping for Carroll’s Appliance Repair. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City, gardening, and was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Parish attending St. Ann Church, Bristol.
Irene is survived by her four children: Ronald Bilodeau and wife, Lisa of Somers, Lynda Clark and husband, Chris of Cincinnati, Ohio, Paul Bilodeau of Bristol, and Annette Bilodeau and husband Paul Forbes of Wolcott; four grandchildren: Mitchell Bilodeau, Kristi Kosloski and husband, Nick, Ronny Bilodeau, and Alicia Moorman; a great-grandson: Shane; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Carroll; granddaughter Nicole Ladrigan; brothers Roger and Ronald Belanger; and daughter-in-law Kristine Bilodeau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 215 West St., Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Monday between 5 and 7 p.m.
