Bristol dentists make annual Connecticut magazine listing

Five Bristol dentists are included in this year’s Connecticut magazine’s Top Dentists issue this October. They are Michael R. Ellis, general dentistry; Arabella Christian, endodontics; James D. Affenito, oral surgeon; David Fenton, oral surgeon and Robert Treado, periodontics.

Latest COVID-19 stats

For the past seven days, Bristol’s COVID-19 positivity rate is 10.4 percent with 62 positive cases, leaving the city in the red category with over 15 cases per 100,000 people. Hartford County is in the medium category.

The CDC recommends that people at high risk for severe illness, talk to their healthcare provider about whether to need to wear a mask and take other precautions. In addition, the CDC reminds people to take the following measures:

  • Stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines
  • Get tested if you have symptoms
  • People may choose to mask at any time. People with symptoms, a positive test, or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask.
  • People who are immunocompromised, can learn more about how to protect themselves here.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have no limits.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
