Bristol Eastern travelled to Meriden for a volleyball match with Platt Monday evening, and they returned home with their fourth loss of the season.
The Panthers jumped out quickly with a first set victory at 25-19. They then dominated set two for 25-12 decision.
Eastern was able to stay alive by edging Platt in the third set by a score of 25-23.
Whatever hope the Lancers had was quickly snuffed out as Platt easily clinched the match with a fourth set 25-13 margin.
Platt was led by Eva Dudley with 20 kills, 7 digs, and 3 aces. The Panthers’ Emily Hart had 23 assists, 15 digs and 4 aces.
The Lancers’ Lilli Lowe had 4 kills, a block and 2 digs in a losing cause.
BE’s record now stands at 10-4.
Platt’s record is now 11-5.
