Bristol Eastern volleyball ends regular season with a victory on Senior Night

Bristol Eastern ended the regular season on a positive note Wednesday night, sweeping three straight sets from a very competitive team in the Fitch Falcons. The first two sets were very close as the two teams searched for answers to the opponent’s attack and the lead for either team never got to more than two or three points. Ultimately, the Lancers won both sets by a score of 25-23.

The third and final set was dominated by Eastern as they put the match away with a 25-10 victory.

Eastern honored the four seniors on their team before the match, as Sarah Lacouture, Alyssa Valentine, Lilli Lowe, and captain Lauren Bender played their last regular season game in the Lancerdome.

The Lancers were led in the victory by their seniors as Lauren Bender had 21 kills and 7 digs. Alyssa Valentine chipped in with 5 aces, 34 assists and 3 digs. Lilli Lowe added 5 kills, a block, and 2 digs. And Sarah Lacouture had 4 digs on the night.

Fitch was led by Annalynn Cahill with 9 kills, Katie Tuohy with 7 kills, 7 digs, and 3 blocks, Isabella Ditmore with 14 assists, and Madelyn Aldinger with 10 assists.

The Set scores were:

Set 1: 25-23 BE
Set 2: 25-23 BE
Set 3: 25-10 BE

Eastern’s record goes to 11-7. Fitch is 11-8
