Vincenzo Giliberti, III, 48, of Bristol, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, after a short illness. Vince was born in Bristol on Sept. 22, 1974, and was a son of Elaine Callahan of Boynton Beach, Fla., and the late Vincenzo Giliberti, Jr.
A lifelong Bristol resident, he attended Bristol Eastern High School then went on to study two majors and graduate from Central Connecticut State University. While at CCSU, he was an intern for State Representative Richard Tulisano.
He then graduated from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, and the University of New Haven where he earned his master’s degree in teaching. He served as a substitute teacher in the Bristol School system before embarking on a career in media.
He worked at ORTV in Waterbury as cameraman and reporter before establishing his own business, Filmakerz, writing and producing ads for several different businesses. His filming locations included the state legislator’s office and the University of New Haven.
In addition to his mother formerly of Bristol, Vince leaves aunts and uncles: Loretta Noon, Maureen Viele, Michael Callahan, Lena Olejarz, and Myrtle Giliberti; and many cousins.
Calling hours for Vince will be at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, on Monday, Oct. 31, between 10 a.m. and 12 noon followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
