Good morning, Bristol!

Hello Bristol, up and at ‘em.

Weather

Overcast with the temps in the low 40s. Overnight, rain and perhaps snow in the hill areas. Enjoy.

Sunrise 7:11, sunset 4:21.

Are you aware?

Are you aware “Q” is the only letter that doesn’t appear in any U.S. state name?

What Recession?

If there is a recession, it is not bothering MLB because free-agent signings are through the roof:

Aaron Judge $360 million ($40 mil per year) to play for the Yanks.

Jacob deGrom received a five-year deal worth $185 million with the Texas Rangers.

Xander Bogaerts $280 million over 11 years with San Diego.

Justin Verlander signed a two-year, $86 million deal with a third-year option with the New York Mets.

Carlos Correa $350 million over 13 years.

The Good News Department

The Harry & Meghan docuseries on Netflix and the barrage of news stories about it are almost over.

The No Patrol

Staff

A hearty thanks and praise from the staff to the staff for handling GMB duties the last 10 days while the staff convalesced.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access eight (8) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
