After a cold-shooting performance in the opener of the Fairfield Tournament, St. Paul exploded against Staples from the start, outscoring their opponents by 29 points at the half.
With a 42-13 advantage, the entire Falcon roster saw action throughout the second half, as eight different players hit the scoring column. The final on the night was an easy 57-27 St. Paul win.
Audrey Tice, who was named to the all-tournament team, led the Falcons with 17 points in the contest. Rebecca Kelly was close behind with a 16 point performance.
Kelsea Tefoe and Haileigh Orzel chipped in with 9 and 8 points apiece. Orzel also added 7 assists and 8 steals, exhibiting an impressive floor game.
St. Paul is now 2-1 on the season and plays at Wolcott Friday in a 7:00 varsity contest.
