Good morning, Bristol!

Welcome to Tuesday, folks. We have a morning screening, a matinee and a late-night preview. Right this way for tickets and refreshments.

Weather

40s with sun turning to clouds. Same story old story, bring out the band.

100 years ago today in Bristol

The temp was again landlocked at zero.

The South Side School Parents Teachers Association held a meeting.

There was a public dance at Missal’s Casino by Al Henderson.

Once more unto the breach

The Floyds are fighting again, meaning, Roger Waters and Dave Gilmour, but this time Dave’s wife, Polly Sampson, jumped in off the top rope and hit old Rog with a forearm smash. Yesterday, Sampson tweeted:

“Sadly @rogerwaters you are antisemitic to your rotten core. Also a Putin apologist and a lying, thieving, hypocritical, tax-avoiding, lip-synching, misogynistic, sick-with-envy, megalomaniac. Enough of your nonsense.”

Does this mean there won’t be a reunion?

Bristol roads

Speaking of Shakespeare, according to Robert (Bob) Adamczyk’s book Streetscape, four roads in Bristol start with the letter Q:

  • Quail Hollow Road
  • Quaker Lane
  • Queen Street
  • Quince Court

From the something-you-did-not-expect-to-read-today-or-ever-file

Bristol’s 1972/1973 Conservation Commission consisted of:

  • Dorothy Manchester
  • Everett E. Eaton
  • Gerald Blethen, Chairman
  • Christopher Noble, Jr.
  • Elizabeth M. Sinnott
  • Kenneth C. Hintz
  • Kenneth L. Grimm
  • Alec Kaminsky, CR
  • Donald Cassin, Alt. CR

This way to the door

Well, the ayes have it, so the circle gets the square, and it is time to go.

Don’t forget to brush and floss Bristol. See ya Thursday, maybe.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
