St. Paul cruised to an easy victory over Grasso Tech on Wednesday, and now the Falcons face a tougher test against NVL foe Seymour tonight at 6:00.
Grasso Tech was no match for the Falcons in the first round as St. Paul led by a 32-6 count at halftime and never felt threatened in the game.
Twelve players scored for St. Paul, led by Audrey Tice with 18 points, as Coach Joe Mone was able to play the entire roster in game one of the tournament. Zola Cudjoe pulled down 13 rebounds for the Falcons. St. Paul is now 19-5 on the year.
St. Paul lost to Seymour in January in an overtime nail-biter, 55-53, and the Falcons will be looking to avenge that heartbreaking loss tonight. The gym on Maltby Street should be the site of another classic showdown.
