BERLIN – Bristol Eastern’s girls track and field team earned another victory on Tuesday afternoon, seizing an 81-65 win over Berlin on the road from Biscoglio Track.

The Lancers have some sizeable momentum going into their crosstown meet against Bristol Central next Tuesday (3:45 p.m. at BCHS) in what should be a more than competitive event.

Several athletes made first place finishes for the Lancers which included wins in two of the three relay showdowns.

Eastern’s Cecelia Gilbert was the victor in the 800 meters (2:33) while the athletic Amanda Noel won the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet, two-and-a-half inches.

Ryan Braccia was one of the big winners over multiple events for the Lancers that afternoon.

She won the 100 meters (13.13 seconds), high jump (five feet, four inches), long jump (15 feet, six inches), and crossed the finish line first in the 200 meters (27.05 seconds).

Emily Rogers also showed her abilities in the 300 hurdles (57.73 seconds) and her successful make of six feet won her the pole vault challenge.

Lauren Ayotte hit the winning mark in the javelin (96 feet, half an inch) while freshmen sensation Kaelyn Gonzalez won the 1600 meters (5:40).

The 4×400 meter relay saw the grouping of Emily Piendak, Kaydence Meyer, Gilbert, and Gonzalez take the race in 4:28.23 and the combination of Gilbert, Gonzalez, Ayotte, and Piendak won the 4×800 in 10:51.
