The Bristol Greeners of the Greater Hartford Twilight League will be hitting a big-league park on Thursday evening.
The squad will be in action from Dunkin’ Park in Hartford, squaring off against Record-Journal Expos.
In fact, over a two-day period, the GHTBL will have all eight of its programs hitting the beautiful grass field.
Each of the games on Wednesday and Thursday will last two hours, regardless of the score.
It’s the seventh consecutive year that the GHTBL has played games from Dunkin’ Park, donating the proceeds to various programs and charities.
“This season all eight GHTBL teams will play benefit games to fundraise for the Hartford Police Athletic League at Dunkin’ Park,” according to the GHTBL website.
Bat raffles and concessions will be available at the facility, home to the Yard Goats.
“For the seventh consecutive summer, GHTBL will go to bat for the local community. This year the Hartford Police Athletic League will be benefactors. Hartford PAL empowers the youth of Hartford to realize their greatest potential through mentoring, sports, education and a positive relationship with police officers.”

All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
