Campaign finance reports for Bristol office seekers covering the period ending June 30 were released on July 10 and are available on the Town Clerk’s webpage.
In the race for mayor, Mayor Jeff Caggiano received $27,770 from individuals during the period from April 1 to June 30 for a total of $33,290 while his challenger Scott Rosado raised $15,477 during the same reporting period for a total of $28,967.
Overall, Caggiano’s donors included 137 total donations from Bristol residents. Thirty-one donations were received by individuals living in Connecticut but not in Bristol.
He also received eight contributions from out of state which is down from 2021 when he had 16. The maximum donation for mayor is $1,000 and he received three.
As for Rosado, overall, 152 total donations were received. Thirty of them were made by individuals living in Connecticut but not in Bristol. He had three out-of-state donors and one PAC, Power of Women, which contributed $1,500.
According to available reports, District 2 councilwoman Jacqueline Olsen has raised a total of $4,385, $2,920 this reporting period, while District 1 councilman Erick Rosengren raised a total of $4,010, all of it this reporting period, making them the highest fundraisers among city council candidates.
