Christine LaFrance, 57, of Bristol, beloved wife of Michael P. LaFrance, died on Tuesday, Oct 10, at Bristol Hospital. Born on Nov. 30, 1965, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Irene (Wood) Gyzms.
She was raised in Bethel where she graduated from Bethel High School. She moved to Bristol in the 1980’s where she worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Bentivengo for 20 years. She loved the beach and was especially fond of Ocean City, Md.
In addition to her husband, Chris is survived by her brother and sister-in-law: Michael and Louise Gyzms of Shelton, and their children: Mya, Kayla, and Collin; step-daughters: Nicole Vrablic and husband, Stephen, and Danielle LaFrance; step-grandchildren: Brody, Kya, Livy, Caleb, and Natalie (deceased); her father-in-law and mother-in law: Jack and Claire LaFrance of Bristol; brothers-in-law: Peter LaFrance and wife Lori (deceased), and Jim LaFrance and wife, Janis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Gregory the Great Church, 235 Maltby St., Bristol. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Funk Funeral Home, Bristol, is honored to serve the LaFrance family.
