He was the starting catcher and played in the outfield for both Bristol Central and the Bristol American Legion baseball teams, where he also served as captain.

Nolan earned varsity letters in both baseball and football at the University of Pennsylvania. He was the starting fullback on two Ivy League Championship teams, was the team’s leading scorer in his senior year, and was named Team Most Valuable Player.

She won twelve varsity letters and was an all-Conference pick eight times in her career. She helped lead her teams to a total of eight CCC South conference championships during her time at Bristol Central.

In outdoor track Paradis set a school standard in the 100-meters that stood for ten years. She holds the school record for career assists in basketball and is the second highest all-time leading scorer for the school soccer team.

She went on to play basketball at ECSU and was the starting point guard as a freshman. When injured, she served as a volunteer student coach for her sophomore and junior years.  When cleared to play again, she regained her starting point guard position and was a tri-captain during her senior year.  All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
