The Third Annual Dinner on the Diamond at Muzzy Field hosted by Parks, Recreation, and Youth and Community Services (BPRYCS) will be held Saturday in early May. The event is the department’s largest fundraiser of the year.
“We celebrate and thank community partners for their ongoing support in front of local leaders, business owners, and dedicated community members and park users,” said Josh Medeiros, Superintendent of BPRYCS in the release announcing the event. “All funds raised support Bristol’s coalition and community driven projects, programs, volunteerism and stewardship initiatives.”
The entertainment will be provided by Southern Voice with beer and wine, hors d’oeuvres and dinner by Emily’s Catering, all from the infield diamond at Bristol’s historic Muzzy Field. All proceeds benefit the Friends of the Bristol Parks and Recreation Fund through the Main Street Community Foundation.
The Third Annual Dinner on the Diamond will be held Saturday, May 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. Individual and couple tickets are available at www.BristolRec.com and provide a rare view from the playing field with tables set up on the infield. Tables seat eight people and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, with tickets starting at $125 for individuals and couple tickets priced at $225.
BPRYCS Dinner on the Diamond is sponsored by The Boys and Girls Club of Bristol, D’Amato Construction, Thomaston Savings Bank, O’Brien Funeral Home, and Wheeler Health.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available and more information on Dinner on the Diamond is available at www.BristolRec.com. For table and sponsorship inquiries, or to reserve a table, please contact ericabenoit@bristolct.gov.
All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
