The Forestville Memorial Day Parade is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 26. Beginning Friday, May 24, temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted on both sides of Washington Street and Circle Street.
For parade day, the Bristol Police Dept. announced the following roads will be closed:
- East Main Street from Lincoln Avenue to Central Street
- Church Avenue
- Washington Street from Stafford Avenue to Camp Street
- Central Street from Barnes Memorial Highway (Route 72) to Washington Street
- Academy Street
- Circle Street
- Garden Street from Academy Street to Washington Street
- Broad Street from Todd Street to Central Street
The road closures will begin at approximately 12:30 p.m. The pre-parade activities are scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. with a ceremony in Forestville Center, and the parade will start at approximately 2 p.m. and continue until about 3:30 p.m. There will be detours.
The roadways will be opened shortly after the end of the parade.
Temporary “No Parking” signs will be posted on both sides of Washington Street and Circle Street beginning Friday, May 24.
There is a rain date of Monday, May 27, if the event is canceled due to inclement weather. The time schedule will remain the same
