Police Dept. announces traffic closures for Memorial Day Procession on the Boulevard

As usual, Veterans Memorial Boulevard and Park will be closed for the entire Memorial Day holiday weekend, beginning at 7 p.m. this evening Friday, May 24, however, Monday’s Memorial Day Procession will include additional road closures, including the following:

  • North Main Street from Hope Street to School Street
  • School Street from North Main Street to Memorial Boulevard
  • Main Street from Riverside Avenue to School Street
  • Riverside Avenue from North Main Street to Main Street

The road closures will begin on Monday, May 27, at approximately 9:30 a.m. The procession is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. and continue for about an hour. The above listed roadways will be opened shortly after the end of the procession.
