To be honest, Bristol, I’m out of ideas. The week took its toll on my brain. The little guy is tired and gasping for air. But I am a warrior for TBE, so I will soldier on.
Weather
Sunny with temps in the high 80’s. But enjoy it, because next week looks like a miserable cauldron of heat and humidity.
It could be worse. You could live in south Florida, where the most important possession is your canoe.
Father’s Day is this Sunday
Try this challenging trivia test. Who are the actors who played the fathers in the following series? (Answers provided below.)
- “The Dick Van Dyke Show”
- “Cosby”
- “The Andy Griffith Show”
- (Now it gets harder) “Leave It to Beaver”
- “Eight is Enough”
- “Family Ties”
City meetings
There are no meetings today, although sources tell us that the Mayor’s Secret Task Force to Raise Our Taxes is meeting on the fifth floor of City Hall at 5 a.m.
That’s all, folks!
I have a headache.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
