Drivers to your cars.

Weather

Partly cloudy and 87 bracing for hell degrees.

Did you know?

That, according to a frequent reader of the GMB who just returned from Martha’s Vineyard, actor John Belushi is buried beneath a pile of rocks and shells in Abel Hill Cemetery in the town of Chilmark?

Useless information to impress your Cobbler

Salt is the only rock humans can eat.

Fifty years ago today

On a lazy Tuesday night versus the Atlanta Braves, New York Mets outfielder Rusty Staub hit a weak popup to third baseman Darrel Evans in the bottom of the fourth inning, breaking the hearts of the 33,403 in attendance.

The Mets went on to lose 6-1. Meanwhile, Staub, his teammates and the Mets employees from the front office to the hotdog vendors, lived in regret, sadness and shame for the remainder of their lives.

Speaking of shame

Vergogna! Fly your rectangles as you wish, Bristol. We don’t need an ordinance for that, do we?

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
