Wheeler Health has been designated a 2024 Top Workplaces Industry winner for healthcare through a process conducted by Energage, a purpose-driven organization that develops solutions to build and brand Top Workplaces, Wheeler announced in a release yesterday.

For 17 years, the Top Workplaces program has surveyed and celebrated people-first organizations nationally and across 60 regional markets. Its industry award program acknowledges organizations for people-first workplace cultures with a specific sector.

The award marks winners as employers of choice for those seeking employment in the industry. Top Workplaces awards are based on feedback from a research-backed employee engagement survey.

“This recognition is a testament to our collective efforts in cultivating an exceptional workplace culture, built on our solid foundation of organizational values,” said Sabrina Trocchi, PhD, MPA, president and chief executive officer, Wheeler, in the release.

“Each day, our employees exemplify compassion, diversity and inclusion, integrity, and teamwork, which fosters a strong environment of care and the delivery of high-quality services to individuals and families across Connecticut,” Trocchi said.

On the “Careers” page of its website, Wheeler describers its workplace as “a vibrant, community-based non-profit with more than 900 employees in 35 locations across Connecticut. Our culture celebrates quality, innovation, diversity and professionalism.”

In addition, the site states, “We foster learning and professional development, and we respect and reward meaningful contributions. Our workforce is as broad and diverse as the array of clients we serve and the programs and services we offer, and we’re bound by a passionate commitment to a common goal: to foster positive change in the lives of individuals, families and communities.”

Wheeler received Top Workplace recognition for six consecutive years from 2013 through 2018, and in 2020.

To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
