City opens application process for snow plowing services

Applications are now being sought for snow plowing operations for the city as well as for school facilities.

The deadline for snow plowing operations for the city is Aug. 15. The deadline for school facilities is Aug. 20. Documents may be obtained at no charge from the City of Bristol Purchasing Department, at 111 N. Main St., Bristol, CT 06010, between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, or via the document link. Document link for school facilities submissions is available by clicking here. Individuals or contractors with the appropriate plowing equipment may submit documents. The city is seeking 26 or more large vehicles greater than 24,000 GVW and up to 18 vehicles 8,000 to 23,999 GVW. Vehicles accepted after fulfillment of the active list will be listed as reserve vehicles. The city reserves the right to waive any informalities in a submission, to reject any or all submissions and to accept submissions that in its judgement is in its best interest.
