Christine A. Eaton, 70

Christine A. Eaton, 79 of Satsuma, Fla., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 18. She was born on Dec. 23, 1944, in Bristol, daughter of the late Siman J. and Aldona (Kraivienas) Ginszauskis. Christine was the loving wife of John Eaton for 54 years.

Christine graduated from Bristol Eastern High School and she lived in Bristol for many years. Later she moved to Granby, Conn., then to Florida in 2001. She worked at Sears, Olan Mills Studio, and ESPN. Her biggest accomplishment was being a stay-at-home mom for her two boys which she loved very much.

A devout Catholic and could be seen in the same pew every Saturday. She had a deep love for family and friends and was the family matriarch whenever someone needed an address or special date. She always had a camera in her hand capturing many memories throughout her life.

Besides her husband, John, Christine is survived by her son David Eaton of Barkhamstead, Conn., Grandson David Joshua Eaton of Waterbury, Conn., and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her son Michael.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Aug. 26, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Bristol, starting at 8:30 a.m. until a procession that will leave for St. Anthony Church, 111 School St., Bristol, for an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. A burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
