The Bristol Public Schools’ Back to School Bash will be held Monday, Aug. 26, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School.
An invitation to the event, for families and students, was among the messages included in a post on ParentSquare from Acting Superintendent Iris White on Friday.
“This year promises to be one filled with exciting achievements and memorable moments,” White writes, including a reminder about Monday’s event.
The bash will feature games and activities, food and refreshments, time to meet teachers and staff and school tours.
There will be face painting, raffles and prizes, food trucks and free backpacks for the first 250 students. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The 2024-25 school year begins Thursday, Aug. 29. This year’s theme is “Together We Will Thrive in ’25.”
“Let’s work together to make this year a wonderful one,” White says. “Here’s to a year full of growth, inspiration, and joy for our students, staff, and families!”
White expresses her gratitude from the community for its support and enthusiasm, and she shares that staff is excited about building on past successes.
“Your involvement and support are vital to our shared success,” White states, “and we are committed to finding new ways to help you stay connected and engaged throughout the year.”

All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristole
