The schedule for the Hometown Heroes’s events follow:

All current Bristol CERT members to attend are being asked to attend the presentation. Following the presentation, the Miss Mum Pageant will be held in the Rockwell Theater against the backdrop of all the other activities planned for the evening–fare from food trucks, the midway rides, an art show, and the Bristol Museum Collective under the Marquee Tent.

The evening will conclude on the main stage with a performance by the headliner, River of Dreams.

On Sunday, Sept. 29, the Hometown Hero Breakfast will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 noon at the Bristol Elks Lodge #1010, at 126 South St.

Current Bristol CERT members can attend the breakfast for free with a ticket, while general admission is $12. Tickets can be purchased in advance through the Veterans Strong Community Center at (860) 584-6258 or at the door on the day of the event.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors

The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.

  • Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
  • Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.

Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
