Bristol Eastern boys soccer shut out by Maloney Friday

Bristol

Bristol Eastern (1-1) lost its boys’ soccer home opener on Friday night as Maloney (1-1) took charge late in the first half and went on to secure a 4-0 victory.

Maloney’s Elisha Osei scored at 11:12 and Andre Peralta doubled the lead at 2:54.   Johnathan McAuliffe got goal number three (25:20, second half) and Youseff Machmech ended the scoring with just 3:05 left in the game.

“We lost to a veteran, skilled team that had a balanced attack,” said Lancer coach Bill Sweet.  “They didn’t allow us to get into any consistent flow and their speed kept us on our heels.”

Eastern goalies were forced to make ten saves with Connor Murtaugh collecting eight and Christian Duplessis grabbing two.

Spartan keeper Logan Brazel made four saves.

The Lancers travel to Enfield on Tuesday for a 3:45 match.
