The unveiling of a new logo will be among the highlights of a public celebration highlighting the makeover of The Hidden Café on Thursday, Sept. 18 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at BARC on Jerome Avenue.
The new logo for the restaurant operated by the Bristol Adult Resource Center will appear on the Hidden Cafe’s aprons, hats and t-shirts.
“The Café has been such a special place for people in the community to meet and have lunch,” said Mary Etter, executive director of BARC in a release yesterday. “We are looking at this rebranding as a way to showcase the Café and reintroduce it to the community.”
For over 65 years, the Bristol Adult Resource Center has dedicated itself to helping adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities in Bristol and the surrounding communities maximize their independence and inclusion. The staff of the Hidden Café comprises both staff members and individuals serviced by BARC.
The Hidden Café is open for business 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All TBE readers, supporters and donors
The Bristol Edition will be limiting the number of stories non-members and free readers may access each week. This decision is based on our financial projections and, most certainly, to remind people that TBE is serious about providing accurate, timely and thorough reporting for Bristol. To do this we have devised a financial support structure that makes unlimited access extremely affordable, beginning with a $6 monthly donation.
- Non-members will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Free readers and people who have subscribed by email will be able to access four (4) articles per week.
- Donors and financial supporters will have unlimited access as long as they log in.
Note: Donors may have to contact TBE if they find they are being limited, since we will need to set up a membership account for you. Email editor@bristoledition.org for instructions. Sorry for any inconvenience. People with financial difficulties may write editor@bristoledition.org to be considered for free access.
