Bristol Eastern volleyball breaks into the win column with 3-2 victory over Platt

Bristol Eastern’s volleyball team earned their first win of the year in a five set come-from-behind victory over Platt on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lancers won the first set, 25-21, but then lost the next two by scores of 25-16 and 26-24. But Eastern pulled themselves back into the match with a 25-19 verdict in set four.

Eastern then took the final set, 15-10, to pull out the victory.

Platt’s Bella Dematteo had an impressive 28 digs in the match.

For Eastern, Naseem Hennouch had 24 assists and 11 digs; Kamila Mateo put down 15 kills and added 18 digs; Gracie Browne had 32 digs, 2 aces, and 2 kills; and Mara Fernance had 11 digs, 1 ace, and 1 kill.
